I think Brittany and Jordan are actually REI models, and they just kept it to themselves (I mean, they brought their canoe and launched it for photos). It was FREEZING when we showed up for the session - they were unphased. They jumped around on a slippery boardwalk. They got soaked in frigid water when I asked them to stand on a log in a marsh (Brittany just CASUALLY unzipped her boot and dumped out all the water post shoot, with a smile on her face). Basically, this was a gorgeous fall set, and these two are seriously the funnest.
The Olympic Peninsula in August is definitely one of the best things in life. Weddings on the Olympic Peninsula in August are one of the best things in life. Jessica and JJ's wedding on the Olympic Peninsula was (you see where I'm going with this...).
A stunning day.
The cutest flower girls on the planet.
A first dance during golden hour.
Endless beautiful moments.
It really only takes about 5 minutes with Nick and Melissa to see how well they love. Spending an entire day with them was a gift, a beautiful glimpse into friendship that spans continents and love that supports in moments of weakness and strength. They exchanged private vows which were unbelievably moving (without even being able to hear them), and they were surrounded by so many quality people. This day was jam-packed with beauty and emotion and vulnerability. It was perfect.
